Ross Donegan





Ross William Donegan of Chesley, passed away peacefully surrounded with love by his wife Ruth and special nieces and nephews, Carolyn (Tyronne) Serrick, Susan (Tony) Brenner and great-niece Nicole Yantzi on Thursday, Januray 5, 2012 in his 86th year.

Ross served in World War II and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 464 Chatsworth. He worked for Ontario Hydro and then moved to BF Goodrich where he worked as a mill operator for 30 years. He was also a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Chesley. Ross was an avid sportsman, fisherman and friend of nature.

Beloved husband and best friend of Ruth (Riehl) for 60 years. Loving brother of Ruby (Bob) Linklater, Pearl Truax and brother-in-law of Walter (Marion) Riehl. Ross will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Ginger, brother James and his mother Bessie (Bacon) Donegan.

Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow with inurnment in Shiloh Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
